FINALLY..... I have a really great tool gloat.

Since I am a hopeless tool junkie, I have been fairly consistent watching CL and auction sites for tools of interest.

I ran across a post on CL for a vintage unisaw. Not much more to go on than that. I got to talking with the owner who was the son of the original ownor of the saw.

Bought new in 1947/48 the saw spent its entire life in the exact same place, with the exact same guy. 1.5 hp bullet motor, single phase, cast iron base, new bearings in the last year, all original Jetlock fence, original miter guage, original dust door, and original splitter/blade guard. The ONLY missing part is the small space that goes between the fence rail and the table edge.(anybody got one?)IMG_20150828_57483.jpg

Other than that, spick and span top to bottom. Very well kept saw.

Here is the gloat, I got my General International listed, sold, paid for, then burned rubber 35 miles from me to buy this saw for $200 all in two days.

Maybe not quite a "" worthy gloat, but still....I am so excited I can barely stand it!!!
