So I did a lot of research and decided to buy this setup. It is what it is, not wanting to debate the merits of this system vs another, always other options.
My question is really in regard to the adjustments toward this system (not sure if all systems like this have the same adjustments). Here are my questions.
It appears I have 3 adjustments I can make, depending on what I am spraying
The spray tip, size and direction of fan vs a point type spray
The amount of material allowed through the tip
The amount of air pressure, pushing the material
I used it for the first time yesterday and was spraying a satin poly. I grabbed a piece of 1/8 in underlayment for my test spray. It was hard to see because the material is clear. I did manage to change the tip control and seemed to get a good coverage coming out of the gun. I did notice though, when my son used the gun, an awful lot of overspray.
My question is, are there videos or references you can point me to that will better educate me or is this a trial and error and learn from mistakes type of thing. I have really tried to watch a lot of videos but I can't seem to find any that really deal with the fine adjustments, rather, videos on how well the system sprays material. I know this system works well simply based on the overwhelming reviews and I guess I am asking for any help to minimize the learning curve.
Sorry for the long message but any help would really be appreciated.
