This is an amazing machine, joints boards 14" wide. Converts to 14" Planer in 30 seconds. It has a 3 HP motor, single phase. The switch was repalced with a powermatic switch. Comes with a few extra sets of knives, and the mortiser attachment. The new version of this machine costs $6500 with moriser (although they now only sell a 12" and a 16", they used to have a 14" as well). Also has a powermatic mobile base. Note that the mortiser is not attached in the pictures, but attaches in a minute or two and can be left in place all the time. The newer versions put the mortiser on the front, where you would stand to use the jointer. This version puts the mortiser on the back, out of the way of the user. The beds is 63" long. It has a 3 knife cutterhead. It is not Tersa, but the change very easily with a jig that came with the machine that presses the blade to the correct height. Blade changes are a couple minutes per blade. I have a few extra sets of blades, they were professionally sharpened.
